Sign up now for the July 31st project.
Project Details: Our group will be working on Sunday at Lake Elanor. We have worked on this site in the past.
You're free to do as you like after we complete the project. Some people will go climbing while others may go for a hike.
Please be awake by 8:00 a.m. on Sunday and ready to leave no later than 8:30. It does take a while to eat, clean up and get ready to work.
Previous Projects:
Previous projects can be viewed in the Gallery.
Work Gear:
Please bring proper shoes to work in (NO TEVAS OR SANDALS). Tennis shoes are OK, hiking boots are better. The park service should have plenty of gloves too, but if you have your own, bring them. Also, be prepared to bring a lunch and some water. We usually take a break around noon and eat.
Weather:
The weather in Yosemite can change within a few hours. Please be prepared for it.
Camping:
This information will be provided to you with the Yosemite Gate Pass when you sign up. The Yellow Pines campground has two 'comfort' stations and water is provided. All food MUST be kept in the bear-proof boxes located in each campsite. Updates: Check this page or the web site at http://www.pgvip.net for some updates and other details.

How do I sign up?
A friend told me about your group and I am interested in coming this weekend to help out. I am kinda confused on how to sign up, etc. Also it says Sunday in one part, and Saturday in the other. Can you send me some more info?
Hmm, nevermind. Now when I go
Hmm, nevermind. Now when I go to the page there is a signup form. I don't know why it wasn't there before. Weird.
I'm still confused by the mention of working on Saturday and Sunday, though. Which is it?
It's most assuredly Sunday.
It's most assuredly Sunday. Where does it mention Saturday?
A park volunteer rep will meet us at the Yellow Pines campground on Sunday morning and we will follow them to Lake Eleanor which is a 2 hour drive.
The site is awesome and we'll have it pretty much all to ourselves.
The Ranger told me he just got a brand new Zodiak and he can take us on a tour of the lake, if we want.
There are some gorgeous waterfalls on the North-East end and the fishing is fabulous.
If the project is to finish what we started last time, then bring your harnesses because climbing skills are required.
Wow, this site is really
Wow, this site is really playing tricks on me, I swear. First, the sign-up form was not there, only the form to leave a comment. And it did say about Sunday at Lake Eleanor, but then a bit below that it said the work would be 9am to 3pm Saturday. I checked it multiple times. I don't know what happened, but now the form is there, and it says Sunday in both places. Very strange!
